Frequently Asked Questions > Registering for Riversweep > How do I pre-register for Riversweep?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

Go to the Riversweep web site, click on Register, and follow the simple steps – it takes just minutes to complete. Here are a few reminders before you begin your registration:

Select a volunteer site that is convenient for you from one of the locations listed on the map of Lake Wylie on the website. It is important that you remember the site you selected and report to that site the morning of Riversweep. The Site Captain will have confirmation that you pre-registered and will have your free T-shirt. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a T-shirt for participants who do not report to the volunteer site they selected on their pre-registration.

Be sure to read the Assumption of Risk & Release form. On the registration form, you will be asked to check a box stating that you agree to the terms stated in the form.

Note that volunteers less than 18 years of age are required to print out a copy of the Assumption of Risk & Release Form, obtain a parent or guardian signature on the form from the web site and bring it with them to the event.

If you are registering as a group with at least 10 people, be sure to have everyone’s name and address information and their T-shirt sizes. Each member of the group, except the group leader who is handling the registration, must print out a copy of the Assumption of Risk and Release Form from the web site, sign it and turn it in to the group leader.

If you are registering as a Boat Captain, you must be 21 or over. Boat Captains under 25 years of age must have passed a state approved boater safety course. If you have questions about the pre-registration process, please e-mail the Registrar at riversweep@catawbariverkeeper.org.
